Ubuntu 9.04 Resmi Dirilis

Bulan April adalah salah satu bulan yang paling dinanti oleh para pengguna Ubuntu, karena di bulan inilah Ubuntu meluncurkan rilis terbaru. Dan pada hari Kamis 23 April 2009 akhirnya Canonical Ltd. selaku sponsor utama proyek Ubuntu dengan resmi merilis Ubuntu 9.04 (Jaunty Jackalope). Ubuntu 9.04 merupakan rilis kesepuluh sejak proyek Ubuntu dimulai pada tahun 2004.

Ubuntu 9.04 (Jaunty Jackalope)

Terdapat 3 versi pada rilis Ubuntu 9.04 ini, yaitu Desktop, Server dan Netbook Remix yang masing-masing dikembangkan untuk memenuhi dengan kebutuhan pengguna Ubuntu dan didalamnya terdapat banyak fitur-fitur terbaru, antara lain GNOME 2.26, sistem notifikasi terbaru, proses booting yang lebih cepat, dukungan filesystem Ext4, Linux kernel 2.6.28, dukungan untuk cloud computing, dan masih banyak lagi.

Ubuntu 9.04 sendiri akan di-support melalui security updates selama 18 bulan, dan untuk Anda yang ingin mencoba dipersilakan untuk langsung mengunduh Ubuntu dari situs-situs di bawah ini atau Anda dapat juga memesannya melalui ShipIt. Kemaren, pengen nyoba Beta-nya 9.0, eh tak sempat-sempat Download. Hari ini, cek balek situs Ubuntu, wah, dah kelar 9.0. Cuma yang jadi pertanyaan Nama-nama rilis ini koq aneh-aneh ya? Apa sih makna nama-nama tersebut? Apakah nama programmernya? atau ?
Tapi terimakasih ya. Ubuntu memang Ok. Sudah pake sejak 7.04, tapi belum puas juga nih.

to semua pengasuh ubuntu-id, aq da berhasil upgrade ubuntu 8.10 ke 9.04 dan aq rasa ni lebih bagus+lebih cepet drpada yg ubuntu sebelumnya....
aq mau tanya beberapa nih :
1. aq punya dvd ubuntu 8.10 + 6 dvd repository ubuntu 8.10. bisa ga repository-nya digunakan pada ubuntu 9.04? kalau ga bs ya percuma dong aq upgrade ke 9.04....
2. aq masih bingung cara ngatur resolusi screen pada ubuntu, maksudnya kayak di win xp yang tggl masuk properties-pilih setting dan tinggal atur screen resolutionnya, kalau di ubuntu tmpatnya dimana yha......sbb dilaptopku ubuntu 9.04 keliatan besar2+ga enak dimata......

itu dl tanyanya....... tlg dijawabnya terserah mau lwt web ini maupun emailku.......

salam kenal semua nih. saya pendatang baru di dalam ubuntu. baru minggu kemarin coba coba install mesin ku dengan ubuntu 8.10. sambil install download yang baru ubuntu 9.04. pertama kenalan jadi masih agak kagok gitu. apalagi selesai install mesin nya gak mau booting tertahan di grub. wah tambah pusing deh. walapun klo di ketik exit bisa masuk ke gnom nya ubuntu.
setelah cari cari di internet . solusinya di suruh nambah rootdelay=150 pada kernel grub nya. problem solve. di ubuntu 8.10 tarnyata ada bug pada pembuatan ip statik nya dan ini saya ketahui setelah berpusing ria dan googling.
di ubuntu 9.04 kayaknya masalah rootdelay nya masih harus di set. termasuk pembuatan ip statik dari lan manager kayaknya juga belum pas .

heheh . maklum . orang baru . mungkin saya yang keliru ..

sebagai pemula saya install yang 8.10 cuma bingung aja pertamanya karena setelah install sukses gak bisa boot berhenti di grub nya. eh cari cari ternyata si suruh nambahin rootdelay=150 di kernel nya .
ups. problem solve .

karena masih penasaran dunlod lagi yang 9.04 . ternyata masaih sama :D malahan yang 9.04 gak bisa detek vga nya. justrus di 8.10 bisa .. hehe
